Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
"EyesUp" refers to the operator of the EyesUp mobile app and the service available at eyesup.app. You can reach us at damienyvert.dev@gmail.com.
2. What we collect, and why
Account information
When you create an account we store your email address, a display name you choose, your account creation timestamp, and your device's IANA timezone. We use this to authenticate you, to localize challenge resolution to your time of day, and to contact you about the service.
Screen-time daily totals
During an active challenge, your phone's operating system (Apple Screen Time on iOS, Usage Access on Android) reports a single number per day to EyesUp: your total minutes of screen time for that calendar day, in your local timezone, plus a verification status. We do not receive per-app data, per-event data, your browsing history, your installed app list, or any information about what you did with your phone. Just the total.
Payment and wallet data
Your wallet balance is held by Stripe. When you deposit or withdraw money, Stripe receives and processes your payment-method details (card, bank account, identity verification documents for Stripe Connect) directly. EyesUp receives a transaction reference, an amount, and a status. We do not store full card numbers or bank account numbers on our servers.
Challenge participation
We record which challenges you join, the entry fee paid, your daily goal-met outcomes, your survivor or eliminated status at the end, and any platform fees applied to you.
Diagnostic data
If the app crashes or hits an unhandled error, we may collect a stack trace, the app version, the OS version, and a coarse device model so we can fix the bug. This data is not linked to your identity unless you opt in.
3. Where the data lives
EyesUp uses Supabase to host its backend database and authentication. Supabase processes data in EU regions for EU users.
Payment and wallet operations use Stripe. Stripe is independently responsible for the data you submit directly to it; see Stripe's privacy policy for details.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers.
4. Who can see your data
- You. All of your account data is visible to you in the app.
- Other participants in a challenge. Your display name, your daily survivor status, and your final outcome are visible to other participants in challenges you join. Your email, wallet balance, and screen-time numbers are not.
- EyesUp. Engineers and operators access your data only when necessary to operate the service or to investigate fraud, abuse, or a regulatory request.
- Service providers. Supabase (hosting), Stripe (payments), and Apple or Google for platform-required reporting. Each is contractually bound to use the data only to provide their service.
- Authorities. If required by valid legal process, we will disclose the minimum necessary information.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep account and challenge data for as long as your account is active. After you delete your account, personal identifiers are removed and challenge records are anonymized. Financial records tied to payments are retained for up to seven years where required by tax and accounting law.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Correct anything inaccurate.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Delete your account. Account deletion is available in the app under Profile, and removes your personal data subject to the retention rules above.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, where applicable law allows.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email damienyvert.dev@gmail.com.
7. Children
EyesUp is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone below the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction.
8. Cookies and tracking
This website uses no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics that build a profile of you. The mobile app uses no third-party SDKs that collect identifiers for advertising.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified in the app at least seven days before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
